PROMOTION CEREMONY FOR PQOs

The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) is proud to announce that five (5) military personnel were promoted in rank during a Commissioning Ceremony officiated by RBAF Commander Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud.  

The ceremony was hosted at Berakas Garrison Officers’ Mess and was attended by high-ranking officials and the proud families of the newly-commissioned officers. Amongst some of the officials in attendance was the Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force, Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, the Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, First Admiral Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili @ Suhaily, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force, Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, the Director of Personnel, Colonel (U) Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, the Commandant of the Defence Academy Colonel Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, as well as the Commanding Officer of Officer Cadet School, Lieutenant Colonel Amirul Adly bin Haji Ali.  

Representing the Officer Cadet School of Intake 18, were two Professionally Qualified Officers, who were commissioned as Captain – Officer Cadet Syazirah binti Kuan, a recipient of the Supreme Commander of the RBAF Scholarship, who graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Dental in Dental Surgery from University of Otago, New Zealand; and 22005 Officer Cadet Nur Hafizah Yati bintiNoorhaizamdin, who graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) (LLB) and the Bar Professional Training Course, from the University of Cardiff.

While two other Officer Cadets were commissioned as Lieutenants – 50576 Officer Cadet Muhammad Hazman bin Muhammad Iskandar and 21734 Officer Cadet Naqibah binti Dato Paduka Ahmad Bukhari, both recipients of the Supreme Commander of RBAF Scholarship, and graduates of the Army Academy, Segenting Camp in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, after having completed their Bachelor Doctor of Medicine from Universiti Pertahan Nasional Malaysia.  

Lastly, 15637 Staff Sergeant (U) Haji Muhammad Syasuandi @ Muhammad Rushdie bin Haji Abu Bakar, a Special Commissioned Officer, was commissioned as Lieutenant.
