TANAH JAMBU, Defence Academy, Friday 9 August 2019- Following the End of Generic Term Parade, the Officer Cadet School (OCS) of Intake 18 hosted their first formal dinner in conjunction with their end of Generic Term where it mimics the concepts of a Regimental Dinner as in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). The event took place at the Officer Cadet's Mess Hall at about 1930 hours. Present as the Guest of Honor was the Acting Commanding Officer of OCS, 724 Major Muhammad Ghazali bin Haji Husin who was welcomed by the Acting Intake Commander, 823 Major (U) Awg Md Yusra bin Jafar. Also present were Officers of the School. The event began with the arrival of the Guest of Honor followed by a light refreshment prior to a photo session with the Guest of Honor at the Mess Hall 1 of the Officer Cadet's Mess.
After the photo session, the Intake proceeded to Mess Hall 2 for the Dinner. The Dinner was concluded with a slide show presentation showcasing the journey of the Intake during the Generic Term. Throughout the event, Officer Cadets were expected to practice and commit proper mess etiquettes and protocols. This is also to prepare them for future formal regimental dinners that will be attended by the future RBAF Officers of Intake 18 once they are commissioned.
