DEPUTY COMMANDANT DA RBAF RECEIVES COURTESY CALL FROM ICRC
TANAH JAMBU, Wednesday, 11th September 2019 – Lieutenant Colonel Hajah Suriyati binti Haji Junaidi, Deputy Commandant of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) received a courtesy call from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Office based in Kuala Lumpur.
 
Representing the ICRC were the Deputy Head of Regional Delegation in Kuala Lumpur, Mr Zurab Burduli, and the Armed Forces and Security Coordinator and Armed Forces Delegate South East Asia/Pacific, First Admiral (Retd) Azhari bin Abdul Aziz.
 
During the call, the Deputy Commandant DA RBAF welcomed Mr Zurab Burduli and First Admiral (Retd) Azhari bin Abdul Aziz to Brunei Darussalam and conveyed her appreciation to the ICRC for delivering insightful Humanitarian Operations lectures to the Ninth Command and Staff Course to supplement the Operational Planning module which is currently ongoing. Both sides also discussed opportunities to explore to strengthen the friendship and professional cooperation between the RBAF and the ICRC particularly in training, doctrine and humanitarian missions.
