TANAH JAMBU, Monday, 16 March 2020Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Royal Brunei Armed Forces Joint Forces Commander, delivered a talk today on the role and challenges faced by Joint Force Headquarters RBAF to the 10th Command and Staff Course (CSC 10) as part of their Foundation Studies Module.

Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Sharif started the talk with the security challenges faced by the nation in the near future, and the corresponding force development priorities of the RBAF tri-services to meet these challenges. This was also linked to the Brunei Vision 2035 and how the national vision acts as a guideline for the capability development of the RBAF. Yang Mulia Dato also highlighted the criticality of the Joint Forces Headquarters role in coordinating with other government ministries as it is vital that efficient communication mechanisms are in place to achieve national tasks. The informative and thought provoking lecture then concluded with a question and answer session from the CSC participants.

Following the lecture, Major Shahrulamirul Iqbal, a local course participant of CSC 10, conveyed the cohort's deepest appreciation and gratitude to Yang Mulia Dato for taking his valuable time in conducting the insightful talk. This was then followed by a presentation of a course memento to Yang Mulia Dato on behalf of the course.
