THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES AMBASSADOR TO BRUNEI DARUSSALAM DELIVERS KEYNOTE ADDRESS TO CSC10
TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 17 July 2020 – The 10th Command and Staff Course (CSC 10) was honoured to receive the Philippine Ambassador to Brunei, His Excellency Christopher B. Montero and the Defence Attaché Colonel Jose Ricky A. Laniog in delivering a lecture pertaining to the Philippine Foreign Policy in a Regional and Bilateral Context. The conduct of the lecture differs from the previous cohort which was through online via zoom application in line with the government effort to contain the COVID 19 pandemic.
 
There was a wealth of knowledge being delivered enticing course participants within the realm of international relations, politics, economy, defence and security. The lecture span from the three pillars of the Philippine foreign policy which run parallel to the ASEAN pillars, the COVID 19 experience especially in terms of economic challenge, Philippine in ASEAN and lastly the Marawi experience. The lecture compliments the course participants learning in the current module which revolves around the Asia Strategic Environment Studies.
 
The session provides the course participants a golden opportunity to have a first-hand interaction with an international relations practitioner enabling the course participants to connect what is learnt in theory and what is being done in practice.
The lecture was concluded with 659 Major Haji Mohammad Amin bin Awang Haji Mahmud, as representative from the course participants, conveying his heartiest gratitude on behalf of CSC 10 and Defence Academy as a whole, to both distinguish speakers especially in sparing their valuable time for the lecture.
