Bandar Seri Begawan, Wednesday, 9 June 2021- Delegation from the Command and Staff Course 11 (CSC 11) today had a study tour to the National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) at the NDMC Centre, Jalan Landasan Lama, Berakas. The delegation was led by Lieutenant Colonel Mohamad Salehudin bin Dato Paduka Haji Puasa, Senior Directing Staff of Command and Staff College, Defence Academy.
CSC 11 was received by Yang Mulia Awang Shahrin bin Awang Haji Mohd Jawie, Acting Deputy Director of NDMC. The programme was officiated with a welcoming remark by the Director of NDMC, Yang Mulia Colonel (Rtd) Muhd Harrith Rashidi bin Hj Muhd Jamin. It was then followed with a briefing presented by the Acting Deputy Director of the NDMC. The briefing covered the functions of NDMC towards ensuring the safety and well-being of the people of Brunei Darussalam by being responsible on all aspects of disaster management. The visit concluded with some refreshments followed by a group photo taking session.
The visit was seen to be beneficial to the course participants as it gave them a wider insight of the roles of NDMC in assisting the nation in line with concept of the whole of nation approach.
