ACTING COMMANDANT DA RBAF RECEIVES COURTESY CALL FROM THE INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE OF THE RED CROSS (ICRC)

TANAH JAMBU, Tuesday, 21 June 2022 – Lieutenant Colonel (U) Azmie Iskandar bin Ariffin, Acting Commandant of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) received a courtesy call from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Office based in Kuala Lumpur.

Representing the ICRC was Colonel (Retired) Azlan Iskandar bin Abdul Ghani, a Military and Armed Group (MAG) delegate with the ICRC Regional Delegation in Kuala Lumpur.

 During the call, the Acting Commandant of the DA RBAF welcomed Colonel (Retired) Azlan Iskandar to Brunei Darussalam and expressed his gratitude to the ICRC for their involvement and support in delivering insightful Humanitarian Operations lectures to the Command and Staff Course over the years to supplement the Operational Planning module, which benefits the students greatly.

Both sides also discussed opportunities to explore and strengthen the friendship and professional cooperation between the RBAF and the ICRC, particularly in training, doctrine, and humanitarian missions.
