22 July 2022 – Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) held a Surrah Yassin and Tahlil recitation in remembrance of our fallen heroes in the helicopter crash incident, held at Surau Asy-Syuhada, DA RBAF.
Present at the event was Colonel Pengiran Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof, Commandant of Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Officers, Staff and Officer Cadet of intake 21. The event commenced with the recital of Surah Yassin and Tahlil led by Ustaz Abdul Nasir Saufi bin Hasan, religious teacher of DA RBAF.
The ceremony continued with Doa Peliharakan Sultan and concluded with the recital of Selawat. This Surah Yassin and Tahlil recitation ceremony is an annual event held in thoughts of the members involved the Bell 212 helicopter crash incident that happened on 20 July 2012.
