Tanah Jambu, Friday 23 July 2021 – In conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha 1442H celebration Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) this morning held a Korban Ceremony at Surau Asy-Syuhada' DA RBAF, distributed sacrificial meat comprising 4 cows to Defence Academy personnel, Officer Cadets, Civilian staff and Asnaf group living in the vicinity of Kg Kapok, Meragang and Tanah Jambu.
The ceremony was officiated with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, Surah Al-Fatihah and the recitation of takbir Aidiladha. Present as the guest of honour was Yang Mulia Lieutenant Colonel (U) Azmie Iskandar bin Ariffin, Acting Commandant Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces. In attendance were Senior Officers, Officers, DA personnel as well as the recipients under privileged Asnaf group from Kg Kapok, Meragang and Tanah Jambu. Also present were Head of villages, Mohamad Bin Haji Tamin, Acting Ketua Kampong for RPN Meragang and Pengiran Haji Ibrahim bin Pengiran Haji Timbang, Ketua Kampong for Kg Kapok Muara.
Apart from strengthening the relationship among the personnel of DA RBAF, the sacrificial ceremony reminded all Muslims to celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha with happiness and joy towards achieving protection, health and prosperity.
