TELANAI, Saturday, 04 October 2025 – The Junior Non-Commissioned Officers (JNOCs) of the Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) held an appreciation dinner night for the retirement of the Commandant DA RBAF, Yang Mulia Colonel Pengiran Haji Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof at Rasa Ceria Cafe, Telanai Avenue, Bandar Seri Begawan.
Also present at the ceremony were the Academy Sergeant Major, School Sergeant Major, Wing Sergeant Major and all of the Junior Non-Commissioned Officers of DA RBAF. The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by an opening remarks by the Chairman of the event continued with the speech from the Commandant of DA RBAF.
In his remarks, the Commandant emphasised the importance of the JNCOs role as the driving force in the organisation. Without their commitments, bravery, as well discipline, all operations and training would be impossible to be executed efficiently. He also advice that the JNCOs to always be disciplined, learn and take every knowledge and experience from the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) and always hold on to the value of camaraderie.
The event then proceeded with the presentation of momentos to the Commandant of DA RBAF followed by a video clip as well refreshments. The event concluded with the recitation of closing do’a, followed by a final greeting session with the Commandant of DA RBAF.
