OFFICIAL VISIT BY THE CHAIRMAN JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF COMMITTEE PAKISTAN ARMED FORCES TO DEFENCE ACADEMY ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES

Tanah Jambu, Tuesday, 04 November 2025 – The Defence Academy of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) had the honour of hosting an official visit by His Excellency General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) of the Pakistan Armed Forces and His Excellency Janbaz Khan, High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Negara Brunei Darussalam. This visit marked his first official visit to Brunei Darussalam.
The visit commenced with a welcome by the Commandant of DA RBAF, who expressed sincere appreciation to His Excellency and the delegation for their visit. In his remarks, the Commandant highlighted the value of continued interaction between DA RBAF and the Pakistan Armed Forces in fostering institutional cooperation and the sharing of best practices in Professional Military Education (PME). He further expressed appreciation for the 15 officers from the Pakistan Armed Forces who have attended the RBAF Command and Staff Course since its establishment 15 years ago, noting that their professionalism and dedication have greatly enriched the learning environment.
During the visit, His Excellency and the delegation were briefed on the organisational structure of DA RBAF, RBAF PME, followed by an engaging discussion and the exchange of best practices, and a brief on the wider camp facilities.
The programme also included a visit to the Command and Staff College, where His Excellency engaged in a special dialogue session with participants of the 15th RBAF Command and Staff Course, moderated by Major Abdul Basit, an officer from the Pakistan Armed Forces currently attending the course.
The visit concluded with some light refreshments hosted at the Ceremonial Hall, marking a successful engagement that further strengthened the friendship and professional cooperation between the DA RBAF and the Pakistan Armed Forces.
