Kampung Tanah Jambu, Wednesday, 29 July 2020 – The Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) held a farewell ceremony for the Commandant, Brigadier General Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, who will be taking over the appointment as the Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces on 30 July 2020.
The ceremony commenced with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a farewell speech by the Commandant. In his speech, he highlighted the achievement and progress of DA RBAF throughout his tour and acknowledged the hard work as well as dedication of all the Defence Academy personnel and civilian staff in performing their duties towards the excellence of the institution. He also thanked all of them for their support throughout his time in the Defence Academy. Brigadier General Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan assumed the command of DA RBAF on 10 December 2018.
The ceremony continued with a farewell speech by the Academy Sergeant Major (ASM), Warrant Officer 1 Rosleen bin Haji Tujoh, who represented all personnel of DA RBAF followed by presentation of mementos from the officers and staff of DA RBAF. In his speech, the ASM congratulated Brigadier General Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan for his new appointment and thanked him for his excellent leadership as the Commandant of the Defence Academy.
Present at the ceremony were the Deputy Commandant, senior officers, officers, military personnel as well as civilian members of the Defence Academy. The event ended with the recitation of the Doa, a refreshment, the signing of farewell parchment and a group photo session.
