The Leadership and Management Centre Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces officially functioned on 12 September 2011. The Leadership and Management Centre is running courses such as the Writing Skills Course (two series a year), Promotion Exam Phase III (written), Intermediate Staff Course and also facilitating Psychology of Leadership, a leadership workshop collaborating with the Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst. Its primary output is the Intermediate Staff Course with the aim to develop officers at intermediate to middle management level to become competent Staff Officers under the joint environment. This course was previously conducted by the Officers Development Wing at the Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces. With the establishment of the Leadership and Management Centre at Defence Academy marked the complete pillars of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
