TANAH JAMBU, Monday 03 February 2020 – The Opening Ceremony of the Writing Skills Course (WSC) Series 2/2019 was held today at the Lecture Room, Leadership and Management Centre of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (LMC, DA RBAF), Kampung Tanah Jambu. Present to officiate the opening ceremony followed by opening remarks of the course was the Acting Head of the LMC DA RBAF, Major (U) Pg Mohd Zulhusmi bin Pg Mohd Roslan.
The course is attended by a total of 18 participants; 03 officers from the Royal Brunei Land Force, 05 officers from the Royal Brunei Navy, 05 officers from the Royal Brunei Air Force, 04 officers from the Ministry of Defence and 01 officer from the Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
The Writing Skills Course is a 2-week course conducted by the LMC DA RBAF. The course aims to improve Junior Officer’s knowledge of the conventions and forms of Service Writing. Also, to improve Junior Officer’s writing skills with particular emphasis on research and analytical ability. It is a mandatory course for the officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and a prerequisite for Lieutenant/Lieutenant Junior Grade to Captain/Lieutenant (RBN) promotion.
