RIZQUN INTERNATIONAL HOTEL, GADONG, Saturday, 02 March 2024 –The Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) is set to host the prestigious Welcoming Dinner for the esteemed South East Asia Conference of Commandants on the 1st of March, 2024. This event is poised to bring together distinguished attendees from ASEAN countries, marking a significant moment in the regional defence community.
The reception honor the presence of Colonel Pengiran Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof, the Commandant of DA RBAF and co-host of the conference as the Guest of Honour.
The dinner started with a welcoming drink session and was followed by recitation of Doa. The commencement of dinner was then followed by the delivery of speech by the guest of honour. In his speech, the Commandant of DA RBAF welcomed all the delegations to the country and emphasized on the importance of defence diplomacy, collaborations between the institutions and the significance of the conference. The guests were shown videos of Brunei tourism and the Defence Academy, before the dinner was concluded with a group photo session.
The South East Asia Conference of Commandants 2024 is a critical platform for sharing insights, fostering collaboration, and advancing the collective security goals of the ASEAN community. It will feature 2 days of conference (2 – 3 March 2024), where the commandants will present and discuss on matters concerning defence educational issues. This will also serve as a symbol of solidarity among the ASEAN defense community and underscore the commitment to shared security objectives.
