KUALA LUMPUR, Tuesday, 23 April 2019 – The 9th Command and Staff Course (CSC9) Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) continued their series of visits to government agencies in Malaysia as part of the Overseas Study Tour (OST) programmes.

 
The delegation which was headed by Lieutenant Colonel (U) Pg Hj Mohammed Hasreen bin Pg Haji Ali Hassan, commenced the second day of the tour with a visit to the prestigious office of the Malaysian Prime Minister at the Prime Minister’s Department, Putrajaya. The delegation was received by Cik Najibah binti Muhammad Nor, Senior Assistant Director at the Prime Minister’s Department. They received a comprehensive briefing on historical and cultural aspects associated with the establishment of Putrajaya and had the chance to visit parts of the Bangunan Perdana Putra before leaving the building.
 
The delegation then continued the day with a visit to the Brunei Darussalam High Commission in Malaysia where the Head of Mission, His Excellency Dato Paduka Haji Alaihuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Lela Dato Seri Utama Haji Awang Mohd Taha received a courtesy call from the Head of Delegation and the Directing Staff. They then joined the rest of the delegation where the Head of Mission delivered his welcoming remarks to the delegation. The delegation was then given a brief presentation by Pg Asmawi Arbi bin Pg Dato Paduka Hj Sharifuddin, Deputy Head of the Mission/First Secretary, on the the background of the Brunei Darussalam High Commission in Malaysia, its roles and functions, organisation chart, bilateral relations and challenges faced. The visit ended with the presentation of a token of appreciation to the High Commissioner by the Head of Delegation.
 
The delegation then moved to the final visit of the day to the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC) of Malaysia and was given a presentation on MESTECC and Sustainable Development Goals delivered by the Secretary of International Division, Mr Teoh Phi Li. The Department of Environment also delivered a short brief on E-Waste Management and the final presentation was on Green Technology delivered by the Malaysian Green Technology Corporation.
 
The Head of Delegation extended his gratitude for conduct of the visit at each agency and as well emphasised the need for further cooperation and friendly relations in the future.
