TANAH JAMBU, Tuesday, 25 June 2019 – His Excellency Mr. Chan Yeng Kit, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence Singapore and Delegates had the opportunity to visit the Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) in Kampong Tanah Jambu today. Upon arrival at the Ceremonial Hall, His Excellency Mr. Chan Yeng Kit was welcomed by Colonel Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commandant of Defence Academy RBAF and RBAF officers.
His Excellency Mr. Chan Yeng Kit then proceeded to the Conference Room for a briefing on Defence Academy delivered by Chief Instructor of Defence Academy, Lieutenant Colonel Pengiran Mohammad Shamsul Reza bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Tengah.
His Excellency Mr. Chan Yeng Kit was then ushered to the Command and Staff College for a parchment signing followed by photo session and lecture with the 9th RBAF Command and Staff Course participants.
This visit serves as a platform for future defence cooperation and both sides expressed satisfaction with the cordial bilateral relationship between the two nations in an effort to strengthen the long-standing relationship through defence diplomacy.
