BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 26 July 2019 – The Final Competition of the Musabaqah Tilawah Al-Quran for Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) organised by the Third Batalion Royal Brunei Land Force was held in conjunction with the RBAF 58th Anniversary at the Pahlawan Hall, Berakas Garrison.Present as the Guest of Honour was Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the RBAF. The event was also attended by the Service Commanders, Senior officers, RBAF personnel and special invited guests.
A total of 9 RBAF personnel participated in the final competition where there were 5 Qari and 4 Qariah. The winner of Musabaqah Tilawah Al-Quran for the RBAF level are as follows:
Qari Champion was won by 16979 Kpl Pg Hj Kamarul bin Pg Hj Sarifuddin from Training Institute RBAF ; runner-up was won by 863 Mej Abdul Mujib bin Japar from Mindef and third place was won by 18032 Kpl Nazirul bin Hj Asmat from Mindef.
The Champion for Qariah was won by 20854 Kpl Hjh Rubiah binti Hj Dagang from RBLF; runner-up was won by 21671 LSM Nurul Hazimah bte Hamzah from the RBN and third place was won by 1040 Lt Hjh Farihah binti Hj Hamidon from Defence Academy RBAF.
The event concluded with the presentation of prizes by the Guest of Honour to the panel of judges and contestants followed by a Doa Selamat recited by the Head of RBAF Religious Department, Commander Haji Ainolnizam bin Haji Ibrahim, RBN.
