The 4th Air Force International Cadets Week was unveiled on 21 October 2019 at the Cultural Centre Aviation University Air Force, Changchun, Jilin Province, China. This event will last one week from 20 to 26 October 2019 and participated by a total of 64 air force officer cadets from 16 different countries, 32 from People’s Liberation Army Air Force and 32 other international air force cadets from Brunei Darussalam, United Kingdom, France, South Korea, Italy, Poland, Greece, Tanzania, Vietnam, Holland, Philippines, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Germany and Pakistan.

The official opening ceremony was officiated by Sen. Col Lu Songyan, the Deputy Commandant of the Aviation University Air Force. Brunei Darussalam is represented by two air force officer cadets of Officer Cadet School (OCS) from Intake 18, who are 53240 OCdt (U) Wan Mohd Hijazi bin Haji Yussof and 53242 OCdt (U) Muhd Ghazali bin Haji Suhaili. The theme of the event is “Learn from each other, share experiences, promote understanding and enhance friendship”. The week’s long event will provide the opportunity to gain more knowledge, experience and networking.  During the week, Chinese and foreign air force cadets will attend class together, organize training of small arms shooting and psychological behaviors and participate in activities such as cultural experience and deducing the action of UN peacekeeping forces.

There are two sections of the international cadets’ company. Each section divided into 4 squads, while each squad is divided into 8 officer cadets of various countries. There is one company commander and one deputy company commander, one company commander of the cadets and one deputy company commander of the cadets, two section leaders and two deputy section leaders and lastly, eight squad leaders and eight deputy squad leaders. Each foreign air force cadets are assigned to a buddy from the People’s Liberation Army Air Force. 53242 OCdt (U) Muhammad Ghazali bin Haji Suhaili was given the opportunity to become a deputy section commander.
