TANAH JAMBU, Monday, 04 November 2019 – The delegation from the Bandar Seri Begawan Language and Literature Bureau or more commonly known as Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, cawangan Bandar Seri Begawan, comprised of 11 personnel led by the Acting Director, Awang Suip bin Hj Abd Wahab, visited the Defence Academy Library Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA Library RBAF) as part of their working visit schedule. Upon arrival, the delegation was welcomed by the Deputy Commandant of the DA RBAF, Lt. Col. Hajah Suriyati binti Haji Junaidi, and other DA RBAF Officers.
The programme then proceeded with a speech delivered by the Deputy Commandant DA RBAF at the DA Library Mini Conference Room, followed by a briefing on the establishment and pivotal roles of the DA Library to uphold the objectives of DA RBAF, presented by the DA Library Officer, Hamiza Diyana binti Awang Hamidoon. The briefing concluded with an interactive dialogue session that opened up discussions in various areas such as best practices in library and information management, as well as any opportunities that could benefit both Organizations. The delegation was then ushered to the DA RBAF Gallery Area as part of library tour before concluding the visit.
This visit serves as a platform for future cooperation in information and library, as well as an effort to enhance the understanding in civilian-military relationship.
