BERAKAS GARISON, Friday, 13 December 2019 – Team Asy-Syuhada from the Defence Academy of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) placed 6th in the RBAF Dikir Syarafil Anam competition which was held in conjunction with the Prophet Muhammad SAW Maulud celebration for 1441 Hijrah, organized by the Religious Department RBAF (JAMA’AT).
The champion of the competition was won by team Al-Hikmah from the Training Institute RBAF receiving trophy, cash prizes and certificates of participation which was presented by the Guest of Honour, Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, the Commander of the RBAF while the runner-up went to team Al-Muflihin from the Royal Brunei Air Force.
Seven (7) teams participated in the competition that took place in Dewan Pahlawan, Berakas Garison which comprised of team Ad-Difa’ from the Ministry of Defence, team Al-Amin from the Royal Brunei Land Force, team Al-Bahriyyah from the Royal Brunei Navy, team Al-Muflihun from the Royal Brunei Air Force, team Asy-Syuja’ah from the RBAF Special Forces Regiment, team Asy-Syuhada’ from the Defence Academy RBAF, and team Al-Hikmah from Training Institute RBAF.
Also Present at the event were the Services Commanders, military directors, senior officers as well as members of the RBAF. The aim for this competition was to enliven and to cultivate religious events especially on instilling interest on the field of Dikir Syarafil Anam while spreading the Syiar Islam amongst the RBAF personnel.
