TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 08 September 2022 - His Excellency General Dato Paduka Seri Andika Perkasa, Chief of Defence Force of Indonesia (TNI) made an official visit to the Defence Academy RBAF today as part of three-day visit in Brunei Darussalam from 6 to 8 September 2022.Upon arrival at the DA RBAF, His Excellency General Dato Paduka Seri Andika Perkasa, Chief of Defence Force of Indonesia (TNI) and his delegations was welcomed by Colonel Pg Sharifuddin bin Pg Haji Yusof, Commandant DA RBAF, Lieutenant Colonel (U) Azmie, Deputy Commandant DA RBAF and Lieutenant Colonel (U) Peter, the Chief Instructor of the DA RBAF.
His Excellency General Dato Paduka Seri Andika Perkasa was then ushered to the Auditorium. The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and followed by Commandant DA RBAF’s opening remarks. The Commandant of DA RBAF conveyed his utmost appreciation on the official visit and short introduction of guest of honor.
During the visit, His Excellency General Dato Paduka Seri Andika Perkasa was invited to deliver a talk to the 12th Command and Staff Course students and the Intermediate Staff Course 22/2022 with the topic on ‘Challenges of Reformation of Military Organisation against Contemporary Security Environment’. His Excellency highlighted the importance of defence diplomacy as a networking platform to gather useful information in order to be attuned with current surroundings to help make better decisions and that the values of trust is one of the keys in promoting flexible communication and cooperation on a large scale.
Subsequently before concluding the visit, the ceremony ended with a plaque and gift exchange followed by signing of parchment and a group photo session.
As part of the visit programme, His Excellency General Dato Paduka Seri Andika Perkasa had an orientation within the Defence Academy compound which was briefed by the Commandant of DA RBAF and followed by a visit to the 12th CSC student’s Married Quarters Accommodation and had an interactive session with the families of the CSC students.
