Command and Staff Course Cohort 9/2019 began their Local Study Tour (LST) as part of the beginning of the second term module programme for the Strategic Analysis studies. Course Participants are provided with the opportunity and first-hand experience to visit the key ministries/statutory bodies and achieve an enhanced understanding of both Brunei and the agencies visited policies, strategies and initiatives at the strategic and operational levels.
This tour is aimed to give an in-depth knowledge for the CSC Course Participants on how Brunei Darussalam shapes its stability, security and prosperity issues to harness its domestic affairs in religious, cultural and socio-economic areas aligning with Brunei’s Wawasan 2035 whilst establishing its flexible interaction in defence diplomacies and confidence building measures in its regional and global relationship in regards of economy, political and human security agendas with its regional and global partnership.
In the Local Study Tour, CSC Course Participants are given briefings by respective governmental ministries during each visit. The ministerial departments that are included in the tour are the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (SHHBIDSS), Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS), Ministry of Religious Affairs (MRA), Ministry of Primary Sources and Tourism (MPRT), Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Finance and Economy (MFE) and Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB).
