TANAH JAMBU, Monday, 08 May 2023 – Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) conducted an inspection towards Defence Academy RBAF (DA RBAF) today. The inspection which initially began in February 2023 led by the Inspectorate Unit RBAF, was aimed to assess the level of effectiveness, readiness and preparedness of DA RBAF to conduct its main roles and responsibilities as a premier defence education institution in Brunei Darussalam, and identify any areas for improvement.

Upon arrival at the Ceremonial Hall, DA RBAF, Commander RBAF was welcomed by Colonel Pg Sharifuddin bin Pg Hj Yusof, Commandant of DA RBAF and the Executive Committee of DA RBAF. The inspection commenced with welcoming remarks by the Commandant of DA RBAF, followed by a detailed brief by Lieutenant Colonel (U) Azmie Iskandar bin Ariffin, Deputy Commandant of DA RBAF. Following the briefing, Commander RBAF had the opportunity to visit Command & Staff College (CSC), Leadership & Management Centre (LMC) and Officer Cadet School (OCS) to observe and examine the on-going lessons and courses conducted.  
The inspection continued with Fardhu Zuhur prayers at Surau Asy-Syuhada, a luncheon hosted by the Commandant of DA RBAF, a debrief by the Head of Inspection Group and closing remarks by Commander RBAF. The inspection then concluded with the signing of the commemorative parchment.   
Commander RBAF’s inspection covered a range of aspects, including evaluating and assessing the effectiveness of training delivery, training support, human resources, logistics, security, and finance. The previous Commander RBAF inspection on DA RBAF was conducted on 21 November 2019.
