Kg Tanah Jambu, Thursday 13 October 2016 – The Defence Adviser of New Zealand, Commander Keith Alexander Robb paid a courtesy call today to the Acting Commandant of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Zahrin bin Haji Zunaidi on his three day visit to Brunei. He was welcomed by the senior officers of the Defence Academy.
During the meeting, both sides were discussing about the previous training conducted by the Officer Cadet School Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces with the Officer Cadet School of New Zealand in the second joint-bilateral exercise, Ex-Kepimpinan which took place in Kg Mariam, Temburong recently. Among the matters discussed were issues and achievements that had been made throughout the exercise as well as planning on the next exercises. The Acting Commandant expressed his hope for future exercise shall be made in New Zealand for both schools to gain and share experience, knowledge and exposure.
In addition to that, the meeting also touched on courses conducted by the Defence Academy particularly the 10-month course, Command and Staff Course (CSC) that New Zealand happened to be involved in by sending one of their military officer to attend the course this year. By the end of the call, the Acting Commandant extended invitation to Commander Keith Alexander Robb to attend the CSC 6 Graduation tomorrow.
