TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 14 June 2024 – The Korban & Aqiqah workshop for military and civilian personnel of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) was organised by the Religious Directorate of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (JAMA’AT) and held from 10th June 2024 to 14th June 2024 at the Lecture Room, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF).
A total of 6 military personnel attended the workshop, which was conducted for 5 days by Ustaz Haji Abdul Nasir Saufi bin Hassan, Religious Teacher of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF).
Among the objectives of this workshop were to provide knowledge and understanding about Korban and Aqiqah, to provide guidance on welcoming the birth of a child in Islam and lastly to give exposure to participants through practical method of animal slaughtering during korban and aqiqah.
Workshop participants also made an educational visit to abattoir centre of “Syarikat Mohammed Norfaidzal bin Hj Zainuddin dan Anak-Anak” organized by the Religious Directorate of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (JAMA’AT).
The workshop concluded with a closing ceremony and the presentation of workshop completion certificates by Ustaz Mohammad Fahmi bin Haji Matnor, Religious Officer from the Religious Directorate of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (JAMA’AT).
