KAMPONG TANAH JAMBU, Friday 25 November 2016 – In conjunction with the 6th Anniversary of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) today, all DA RBAF personnel inclusive of Officer Cadets Intake 16 and course participants of Junior Staff Course 2016 which is currently ongoing, were participating in the anniversary parade.
The arrival of the Guest of Honor, Lt Col Saiful-Akhmar bin Hj Mohd Shariff, the Commandant of the DA RBAF was welcomed by the Chairperson of this year’s event, Major Suzana binti Haji Antin. The parade commander, Major Fakhrul Ammar then reported and accompanied the Commandant to inspect the parade.
The Commandant then delivered his speech among which he mentioned not only on the achievements of the DA RBAF, but also to touch and remind all personnel on the current fiscal issues. Soon after the parade, the Guest of Honour and officers of the DA RBAF then moved to the DA RBAF Headquarters for the Commemorative Sapling Ceremony, followed by a luncheon with all DA RBAF personnel at the Ceremonial Hall.
The anniversary event continued with a cake-cutting by the Commandant and awards presentation to two best DA RBAF personnel based on their achievements, performances, discipline and contributions throughout this year. Those awards were Best Senior Rank Award which was presented to 12977 Sgt Suaidi bin Haji Donglah and Best Other Rank Award presented to 18465 Cpl Noralisham bin Osman.
