TANAH JAMBU, Thursday 28 February 2019 – His Excellency Mr Vincent Guérend, Ambassador of the European Union/Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam, today delivered a talk on “EU Strategy towards Asia. Why is it important?” to the 9th Command and Staff Course (CSC9) at the Defence Academy of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
In his talk, His Excellency shared on EU relationship with Asia and ASEAN, EU engagement in Bilateral Agreement, Political, Development Cooperation and Security. He also highlighted the importance of EU connectivity with ASEAN in terms of transportation, energy, digital and human dimension.
Towards the end of his presentation, the representative student, Major Awg Mohd Edham bin Awg Harlip, from CSC9 conveyed a highly appreciation and gratitude to His Excellency for sparing his valuable time and for delivering his presentation. Next, His Excellency received a momentous presented by the Commandant of Defence Academy RBAF followed by refreshment.
