BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Wednesday, 12 June 2024 – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on Wednesday consented to civilian and military officers and personnel of the Ministry of Defence to award State Honorary Medals of Brunei Darussalam in honour of His Majesty’s 77th birthday celebration.
The Investiture Ceremony took place at the Balai Singgahsana Indera Kenchana, Istana Nurul Iman. His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office officiated the conferment of the State Honorary medals as personal representative of His Majesty.
A total of 5 recipients from DA RBAF were awarded the medals of honour consisting of 4 Senior Non Commissioned officers awarded Pingat Indah Kerja Baik (P.I.K.B) and 1 Junior Non Commissioned Officer was awarded with Pingat Asgar Pahlawan (A.P.)
The ceremony was graced with the presence of other members of the Royal Family as well as high-ranking government officials including the RBAF.
