TANAH JAMBU, Monday, 24 March 2025 – In conjunction of the holy month of Ramadhan, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) hosted an Iftar gathering with former Commandants and former Academy Sergeant Major (ASM) at the Surau Asy-Syuhada, DA RBAF.
Among the invited guest was Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. Also in attendance of amongst the previous ASM of DA RBAF was Yang Mulia Warrant Officer 1 Rozain bin Haji Pungut, Armed Forces Sergeant Major (AFSM) of RBAF. Other guests includes DA RBAF Senior Officers, Officers, Command & Staff Course International Officers and Officer Cadets of Intake 24.
The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Yassin and Tahlil led by Yang Mulia Sergeant Shahrul Al-Hasri bin Hamzah. The event then continued with light refreshment for Iftar, mass congregation of Maghrib prayers before proceeding to evening dinner at Ceremonial Hall, DA RBAF. The event ended with the recitation of doa.
This annual Iftar event in the holy month of Ramadhan provides an opportunity to forge and nurture closer unity and relationship between former commandants and previous ASM with the current DA RBAF Officers and personnel.
