TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 22 January 2021 – Following the Sovereign’s Parade of Intake 19, the Officer Cadet School hosted a Regimental Dinner Night held at the Ceremonial Hall, Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).
Present was The Honourable Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Second Minister of Defence, as the Guest of Honour. Also present were the Commander of RBAF, Services Commanders, Joint Force Commander, Permanent Secretary, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Commandant of Defence Academy, Commanding Officer of Officer Cadet School, Officers and the 73 Newly Commissioned Officers.
Upon the arrival of the Guest of Honour, group photograph took place followed by welcoming drinks where the newly commissioned officers mingled with the guests. After reporting of the chief steward, the Guest of Honour and guests were then preceded to the dining hall for the dinner. During the final course of the dinner, March Pass of Pipe Major took place.
By customs and traditions, the Sword of Honour (SOH) recipient, 1384 Lt Mohammad Zulfahmi Solihin bin Haji Zulhazmi gave a speech. Before the event concluded, the SOH recipient and few randomly selected newly commissioned officers were invited to conduct the RBAF band, and followed by the signing of parchment.
