Wednesday, 26 July 2023 – Lieutenant Colonel (U) Azmie Iskandar bin Ariffin, Deputy Commandant of the Defence Academy RBAF, led the 13th Command and Staff College’s overseas study tour delegation to Australia. During the same visit, he also had the opportunity to call on Colonel Mark Jennings, Acting Commandant of Australian War College.
Both sides expressed their appreciation towards Brunei Darussalam’s and Australia’s longstanding defence partnership during the meeting. Lieutenant Colonel (U) Azmie Iskandar expressed his gratitude to the Australian War College for hosting the Bruneian delegation.
The call with Colonel Mark Jennings resulted in a fruitful dialogue on best practices and challenges in designing course content. Both parties exchanged valuable insights on innovative teaching methodologies, curriculum enhancement, and adapting content to meet students’ evolving needs. The discussion also included the incorporation of emerging technologies and promoting inclusivity in education. The call has strengthened the bilateral partnership and opened up new opportunities for collaboration in advancing educational practices.
