TANAH JAMBU, Friday, 14 October 2022  Forty-two officers graduated from the 12th Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Command and Staff Course (CSC) and received certificates in a ceremony held at the Defence Academy, RBAF today.

Present as the Guest of Honour was the Deputy Minister of Defence, Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir.

Also in attendance were Commander of the RBAF, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, RBAF Service Commanders, Deputy Permanent Secretaries at the Ministry of Defence, Deputy Commissioner of Police, and Assistant Vice Chancellor of University Brunei Darussalam.

Ambassadors Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary, High Commissioners, representatives from foreign missions in Brunei Darussalam, Directors, Commandants, Defence Advisors and Attachés in Brunei Darussalam, UBD lecturers, Senior RBAF Officers and family members of the graduates were also present.

Certificate presentations to the CSC participants were presented by the Guest of Honour. Similar with previous years, four special recognition awards were also presented. The Overall Excellence Award and the UBD’s Academic Excellence Award went to Major Jonathan Edward D’Cruz from the Singapore Armed Forces. The RBAF Commendation Award was given to Dyg Nur Khadijah binti Ramli from the Ministry of Defence, whereas Major Awg Abd Aziz bin Hj Razali received the Commandant’s Award.

The CSC participants comprised officers from the RBAF, Ministry of Defence, the Royal Brunei Police Force, Internal Security Department as well as 15 international participants from Australia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.

The 40 weeks course aimed to expand the professional and academic knowledge of mid-levels officers, as well as develop their command, analytical and communication skills to help prepare them for senior and command appointment.
