THE OPENING CEREMONY OF 10TH COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE

TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 09 January 2020 – The 10th Opening Ceremony of the Command and Staff Course (CSC) 2020 was officiated by Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) at the RBAF Defence Academy. Also present at the ceremony were Dayang Hajah Rubiah binti Haji Yacub, Acting Vice Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Service Commanders, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Senior Officers as well as the Defence Advisers/Attaches to Brunei Darussalam.

 

A total number of 37 officers are attending the course including 20 officers from RBAF, one officer from the Royal Brunei Police Force, one civilian officer who is participating for the first time from the Ministry of Defence and other 15 international military officers from Australia, People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the People’s Republic of China, Republic of Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Sultanate of Oman, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Republic of Singapore, Thailand and the United States of America.

 

The 40 weeks course will be delivered in partnership with UBD for the second year as its main academic provider which aims to expand the professional and academic knowledge towards contemporary strategic environment and its implications on their works being the defence and security specialists.

 

By the end of the course, successful course participants will be awarded with UBD’s Graduate Diploma in Defence and Security Studies with an opportunity to pursue their study in Master of Defence and Security Studies.

MAJLIS PEMBUKAAN BAGI KURSUS MAKTAB TURUS SESI KE-10

TANAH JAMBU, Khamis, 09 Januari 2020 – Majlis Pembukaan bagi Kursus Maktab Turus Sesi ke 10 telah dirasmikan oleh Yang Mulia Mejar Jeneral Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) di Akademi Pertahanan ABDB. Turut hadir pada majlis tersebut ialah Dayang Hajah Rubiah binti Haji Yacub, Pemangku Naib Cancelor Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Pemerintah-pemerintah Angkatan Tentera, Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan, Pegawai-pegawai Kanan serta Penasihat/Atase Pertahanan ke Negara Brunei Darussalam.

Seramai 37 Pegawai-pegawai menyertai kursus tersebut termasuk 20 Pegawai-pegawai ABDB, seorang Pegawai Pasukan Polis Diraja Brunei, seorang Pegawai awam yang mana turut menyertai kursus ini buat pertama kali daripada Kementerian Pertahanan dan juga 15 Pegawai-pegawai antarabangsa daripada Australia, Republik Rakyat Bangladesh, Republik Rakyat China, Republik Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Kesultanan Oman, Republik Islam Pakistan, Republik Filipina, Saudi Arabia, Republik Singapura, Thailand dan Amerika Syarikat.

Kursus Maktab Turus yang dijalankan selama 40 minggu akan bekerjasama dengan pihak UBD yang mana kali ini diadakan buat tahun kedua sebagai pembekal akademik dan bertujuan untuk memperluaskan pengetahuan profesional dan akademik dalam mempelajari isu-isu strategik pada masa kini serta kesannya dalam bidang pertahanan dan keselamatan.

Peserta-peserta kursus yang berjaya akan dianugerahkan Graduate Diploma in Defence and Security Studies daripada pihak UBD dan akan berpeluang untuk melanjutkan pembelajaran ke Master of Defence and Security Studies.
