KAMPONG TANAH JAMBU, Friday 13 January 2017 – The Opening Ceremony of the Command and Staff Course (CSC) 2017 was held at the Auditorium of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Kampong Tanah Jambu. Present to officiate the opening ceremony of the course was the Commander of RBAF, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah.

The course participants are from the RBAF, Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), Internal Security Department (ISD) as well as internationally from Australia, Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and United States of America.

The Command and Staff Course is a 40-weeks post graduate level course delivered in partnership with New Zealand’s Massey University, who is responsible for delivering the academic component of the Tri-Service course which is also joint in nature. The course aims to broaden the professional and academic knowledge and develop command, analytical and communication skills of mid-level officers in order to prepare them for higher command and staff appointments.

Also present at the ceremony were the Acting Deputy Commissioner of the RBPF, Acting Deputy Director Operations of the ISD, as well as Services Commanders, Directors, Commandants, officers and staff of the RBAF Defence Academy.
