TANAH JAMBU, 29 November 2022
– Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin
Haji Abdul Kadir, Deputy Minister of Defence, made his working visit to
Officer Cadet School Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (OCS DA
RBAF).
Upon arrival, the Deputy
Minister of Defence was received by Colonel Pengiran Sharifuddin bin
Pengiran Haji Yusof, Commandant of DA RBAF. Also present were Major
General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan,
Commander of RBAF, Permanent Secretary (Development, Maintenance and
Technology), Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Head of Inspectorate RBAF,
Directors and Senior Officers of DA RBAF.
The
visit is a follow up on his introductory visit to DA RBAF in October
2022 with the aim to have a closer look at OCS DA RBAF accommodation and
training facilities. The visit began with a brief on OCS curriculum and
achievements followed by a tour to several facilities including the DA
RBAF Advance Obstacle Course.
Part of
the visit also included a talk and sharing session with the Officer
Cadets of Intake 21 undergoing training. This session depicts the
importance of the Officer Cadet School in preparing and shaping the
officer cadets to be better equipped and competent in developing the
Armed Forces with Brunei’s identity.
To
conclude the visit, the Officer Cadets later had the opportunity to
have a luncheon with the Deputy Minister of Defence, providing them with
a series of interactions and engagements.
