TANAH JAMBU, 14 October 2025 – The Defence Academy of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) was honoured to receive an official visit from His Excellency General Romeo Saturnino Brawner Jr., PA, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
The visit commenced with a formal welcome by the Commandant of DA RBAF, who conveyed sincere appreciation to His Excellency and the AFP delegation. In his remarks, the Commandant highlighted the visit as a testament to the strong and growing defence relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of the Philippines, noting it was his first official hosting duty since assuming command on 10 October 2025.
His Excellency and the AFP delegation then received a briefing on the organisational structure of DA RBAF and the RBAF Professional Military Education (PME) framework, followed by an engaging discussion and exchange of insights and best practices.
The itinerary then featured a tour of the DA RBAF Library and the Command and Staff College, where His Excellency observed an Operational Planning Exercise and engaged with the cohort, including an AFP officer on the 15th RBAF Command and Staff Course.
The successful visit concluded with a closing engagement at the Ceremonial Hall, reinforcing the friendship and professional cooperation between DA RBAF and the AFP.
