TANAH JAMBU, Tuesday, 7 October 2025 – A Regimental Dinner Ceremony was held in conjunction with the Retirement of Yang Mulia Colonel Pengiran Haji Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof, Commandant of the Defence Academy of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF), at the Ceremonial Hall, Defence Academy RBAF.
Also present to commemorate the occasion were Deputy Commandant of Defence Academy RBAF, along with Senior Officers and Officers of the Defence Academy RBAF, and their spouses.
During the ceremony, Commandant of the Defence Academy RBAF also delivered his farewell speech. In his address, he expressed deep gratitude for the trust placed in him by the RBAF, which shaped his journey from a young officer into a leader. He then emphasized the importance of discipline, teamwork, professionalism, as well as building lasting cooperation and friendships beyond borders. He also reflected on the bonds of camaraderie formed and the selflessness he encountered throughout his career. He expressed gratitude for every appointment, challenge, success, and failure that contributed to his growth, and gave thanks for the guidance he received, the support of his colleagues, and the inspiration from young officers throughout his career journey.
This meaningful event was organized as a mark of respect and appreciation for Commandant of the Defence Academy RBAF, for his leadership, dedication, commitment, service, and sacrifices, particularly in leading the development of the Defence Academy RBAF, especially in the advancement of Military Education, and throughout his 33 years of service in the RBAF.
