TANAH JAMBU, Wednesday, 04 March 2026 - In observance of the holy month of Ramadhan, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) held its second zohor Religious Lecture as part of the Ihya Ramadhan 1447H programme at Surau Asy-Syuhada, DA RBAF.
In attendance was Lieutenant Colonel Amirul Adly bin Haji Ali, Deputy Commandant of DA RBAF, along with members of the Executive Committee of DA RBAF, Officers, personnel of DA RBAF as well Probationary Officer Cadets of Intake 25. The event commenced with the congregational Fardhu zohor prayer, followed by a religious lecture titled “Amalan Sunnah Sebagai Pelengkap Kesempurnaan Puasa" delivered by Imam Muhammad Habib Azizi bin Muhammad Ghazali, Imam of Surau Ad-Difa, Bolkiah Garrison.
The lecture emphasized that fasting is not merely about abstaining from food and drink, but is further strengthened through the practice of Sunnah acts encouraged by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). These include having sahur (pre-dawn meal), hastening to break the fast, increasing the recitation of the Al-Qur’an, giving charity, and engaging more frequently in supplication and remembrance of Allah. These Sunnah practices help complete and perfect the act of fasting by nurturing sincerity, self-discipline, and piety towards Allah SWT, while making the month of Ramadan an opportunity to increase good deeds and draw closer to Him.
