BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – Friday, 11 October 2024 – The Honourable Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (R) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II, led a brisk walk with the graduates of the Command and Staff Course (CSC) 14. The walk began from Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque, Kampung Tamoi to Damuan Recreational Park. Joining the Honourable Pehin on this journey were Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence as well as the Commandant and senior officers of the Defence Academy RBAF.
The event provided a unique opportunity for CSC 14 graduates, particularly the international officers, to interact closely with the senior management of MINDEF and RBAF. As they moved through the scenic route, they not only engaged in physical exercise but also gained valuable insights on leadership, and defence diplomacy, and broader defence and security issues. The Honourable Minister’s presence was a source of inspiration, as he shared his extensive experience in leadership and decision-making at the highest levels of government and defence.
The brisk walk allowed the graduates to absorb lessons and exchange knowledge and experience that extend well beyond the classroom. The event was concluded with a high tea session at Damuan Recreational Park.
