MUARA, Wednesday, 26 February 2020 – The course participants of the Command and Staff Course 10/2020 visited the Royal Brunei Navy Headquarters and Navy Base today. The visiting delegation was led by Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Salehudin bin Dato Paduka Haji Puasa, Directing Staff 4 of Command and Staff College, Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
The delegation members were received at the Naval Training Centre where they were briefed by Yang Mulia First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman bin Hj Suhaili, Commander of Royal Brunei Navy. Yang Mulia First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman briefed the course members about the contemporary maritime threats and challenges of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN). He also discussed about the present mission, role and capabilities of RBN as well as sharing his thoughts on the future direction of the RBN.
After the briefing, the delegation members visited KDB DARULAMAN, one of the four offshore patrol crafts of RBN. The course participants were briefed on the technical data and capabilities of the vessel and had the opportunity to visit several important compartments of KDB DARULAMAN.
The visit was professionally beneficial for the CSC participants as it provided them a with a clear understanding of the role, capabilities and future direction of the RBN.
