Brunei Legislative Council, Thursday, 14 March 2019
– A total of 34 officers of the 9th Command and Staff Course of Staff College, Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) visited the Legislative Council (LegCo) this afternoon.

The delegation was led by Lieutenant Colonel Peter bin Ulat, the Senior Directing Staff of the Staff College, Defence Academy. The Public Relations Officer at the Legislative Council was present to welcome the delegation who later gave a presentation on the history, organisation and background of the Brunei Legislative Council. The delegation was then given the opportunity to witness and listen to the 15th Legislative Council Meeting.

During the visit, a few issues were highlighted in the LegCo meeting which were directed to the Minister at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism on matters relating to Brunei Festival 2018, infrastructure development to promote tourism in remote area, upgradation of chicken poultry production using new closed cage technology, distribution of land for agricultural and closed cage fisheries. The visit was very successful in achieving the aims of the 9th Command and Staf Course (CSC9) which is to help mid-level military officers prepare for high appointments by broadening their professional and academic knowledge, as well as developing their command, analytical and communication skills.
