KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Wednesday 2 August 2023 – The DA RBAF held a bilateral meeting with the Malaysia National Defence University (UPNM) on the sidelines of the 25th ARF HDUCIM. Leading the DA RBAF delegation is Colonel Pengiran Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof, Commandant of DA RBAF and leading the UPNM delegation is Yang Berbahagia Lieutenant General Datuk Mardzuki bin Muhammad, the Vice Chancellor of UPNM.
The meeting revolved around several pertinent way ahead collaborations between the two institutions. Both institutions also agreed to further deepen cooperation in academic matters and explore other avenues for collaborations. The RBAF and the MAF have an extensive partnership on defence academic programs such as exchange of officers to attend courses such as the RBAF Officer Cadet, Intermediate Staff and Command and Staff Courses and the Malaysia Defence College as well as the National Resilience College. Two RBAF Medical Doctors also studied in UPNM from 2013 – 2018.
