TANAH JAMBU, 28 October 2019 – In honor of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam, celebrated every 12 Rabiulawal, the Defence Academy held the opening ceremony of Dikri Maulud for 12 consecutive nights starting earlier this evening at Surau Asy-Syuhadah. Present at the ceremony as the Guest of Honour was Lieutenant Colonel (U) Muhammad Amiruddin bin Hj Tuah. Amongst the attendees were Major Mohammad Ghazali bin Haji Hussin, Senior Officers and Officers, RBAF Personnel and Officer Cadets of Intake 18.The event started with recital of surah Al-Azhab from 21-25 and mass Maghrib prayer. Then, continued with Dikir Assalamualaika, Dikir Syarafil Anam and mass Isyak prayer. The occasion ended with another Dikir Syarafil Anam and Dikri Marhaban. The sequence shall be repeated for 12 nights straight. The aim of commemorating the celebration is to obtain the blessings of Allah SWT and to raise awareness and devotion of Muslims in remembering the service and sacrifice of His Messenger (PBUH) in spreading Islam.
