KAMPONG TANAH JAMBU, Monday, 5 June 2017 - Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held a Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony to mark the RBAF’s 56th anniversary.
The ceremony began with mass Zohor prayer followed by the recitation of Takhtim, Khatam prayer and Dikir Marhaban. The ceremony was held at surau Asy-Syuhada, DA RBAF. It was attended by Colonel Saiful-Akhmar bin Hj Mohd Shariff, Commandant of Defence Academy, RBAF along with DA RBAF Senior Officers, Officers, Academy Sargent Major, Permanent Staffs and Officer Cadets.
The Khatam Al-Quran is an annual religious event to enliven the RBAF anniversary and at the same time uphold piety as one of the important core value of RBAF. It is hope that the event, which held especially in the month of Ramadhan, will further strengthen DA RBAF’s personnel spirituality and motivate them to perform their duties with honesty and integrity.
