TARINDAK D’SENI, Wednesday, 26 June 2024 – Colonel Pengiran Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Yussof, Commandant of Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF) hosted a Welcoming Dinner for Major General Dong Bin, Commandant of Military Culture College and Head of Delegation from National Defence University People’s Liberation Army (NDU PLA) as well as delegation in conjunction with their inaugural visit to Brunei Darussalam at Serambi Batil, Tarindak D’Seni, Bandar Seri Begawan.
Present at the dinner were the Deputy Commandant, Acting Chief Instructor, Acting Head of Command and Staff College, Acting Head of Leadership and Management Centre, Commanding Officer of Officer Cadet School, and officers from DA RBAF. The evening began with a traditional Silat performance by the Sports Council of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, before continuing with speeches from the Commandant of DA RBAF and the Head of Delegation. In his speech, the Commandant of DA RBAF extended his warm welcome to the delegation and highlighted that the visit provided a unique platform to explore new avenues of cooperation in the fields of military culture and education. Meanwhile, in the speech by the Head of Delegation, he thanked the Commandant of DA RBAF for his hospitality towards the delegation during their stay in Brunei and hoped that the visit would contribute towards deepening the relationship between both institutions. The speech then concluded with an exchange of mementoes between the Commandant of DA RBAF and the Head of Delegation.
The Welcoming Dinner was further enlivened with traditional dance performances from Gentara Studio and a live musical performance from D’Anchorage of the Royal Brunei Navy.
