TANAH JAMBU, THURSDAY, 27 MARCH 2025 - With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, 47 Probationary Officer Cadets were appointed as Officer Cadets. The Appointment Ceremony was held at the Ceremonial Hall of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF), Kampong Tanah Jambu.
Among the newly appointed Officer Cadets is Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Abdul Raqib bin Pengiran Maharaja Setia Laila Diraja Sahibul Irshad Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Rahim, the grandson of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The event was graced by the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah binti Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, accompanied by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Maharaja Setia Laila Diraja Sahibul Irshad Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Rahim bin Pengiran Indera Mahkota Pengiran Anak (Dr.) Kemaludin Al-Haj.
Present as the guest of honour and awarding the insignias was Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the RBAF. Also present were members of the RBAF Executive Committee, Directors, Senior Officers, Defence Advisers, and parents of the newly appointed Officer Cadets.
The Officer Cadet School (OCS) welcomed 44 new Officer Cadets, comprising 33 males and 11 females including three International Officer Cadets from Malaysia, Republic of Singapore, and the Kingdom of Thailand.The cadets have completed six weeks of Basic Military Training and will now embark on an intensive 42-week program focused on developing high-calibre officers with strong leadership qualities.
The ceremony concluded with the recital of Doa and followed by a group photo session.
