EVENING RECEPTION FOR THE DELEGATION FROM NATIONAL DEFENCE UNIVERSITY PEOPLE’S LIBERATION ARMY

ANGGEREK DESA, Friday, 13 June 2025 — Lieutenant Colonel Amirul Adly bin Haji Ali, Acting Commandant of the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF), hosted an evening reception in honour of Major General Li Yinhua, Political Commissar of the Military Management College and Head of Delegation from the National Defence University of the People’s Liberation Army (NDU PLA), along with his delegation. The event was held at Mulia Hotel, Kampong Anggerek Desa, in conjunction with their official visit to Brunei Darussalam.

Also in attendance were the Director of Defence Policy, Chief of Staff of Joint Force Headquarter (JFHQ), Chief Instructor of DA RBAF, Acting Head of Command and Staff College, Head of the Leadership and Management Centre, Acting Commanding Officer of the Officer Cadet School, officers from DA RBAF as well invited guests.

The evening began with a group photo session before proceeding with speeches by the Acting Commandant of DA RBAF and the Head of Delegation. The Acting Commandant of DA RBAF, expressed his deep appreciation for the visit by Major General Li Yinhua and the delegation from the National Defence University, People’s Liberation Army, highlighting the enduring friendship and growing partnership between the two institutions. He emphasised that the visit not only fostered meaningful exchanges in military education and cultural understanding but also reinforced both nations’ commitment to peace, stability, and shared prosperity. 

Major General Li Yinhua, in his address, expressed his sincere appreciation to DA RBAF for the warm hospitality and friendship extended to the delegation throughout their visit. He also expressed his hope that the visit would further strengthen the ties of cooperation between the two institutions and nations in the years ahead. In particular, he emphasized the potential for increased collaboration in military education and leadership development.

Adding a cultural touch to the evening, guests were treated to a traditional dance performance and a gulintangan showcase by local performing group, Gentara Studio. The performances offered the delegation a glimpse into Brunei’s rich cultural heritage, further enhancing the spirit of friendship and cultural exchange.
