TANAH JAMBU, Thursday, 3 July 2025 – The Opening Ceremony for the Intermediate Staff Course 25/2025 was held at the Defence Academy of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (DA RBAF), Kampong Tanah Jambu, for 46 officers from the RBAF, which includes 1 officer from the Royal Brunei Police Force and 4 international officers from the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Republic of Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Colonel Pengiran Haji Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof, Commandant of DA RBAF, officiated the event, which was also attended by Defence Attachés, Defence Advisers, and other invited guests.
In his remarks, the Commandant highlighted the course as a pivotal transition from junior roles to mid-level responsibilities, aiming to sharpen participants’ critical thinking and communication skills so they can challenge assumptions and propose effective solutions. Running from 30 June to 3 October 2025, the 14-week Intermediate Staff Course 25/2025 is designed to develop capable and credible Staff Officers who can perform effectively in both single-service and joint operational environments.
