BOLKIAH GARISSON, Saturday, 28 June 2025 – The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) women military personnel today celebrated their 44th anniversary since their establishment on 29 June 1981 with a Thanksgiving Prayer Ceremony and Women’s Munajat Night at Surau Ad-Difa’, Kementerian Pertahanan, Bolkiah Garrison.
Present as the guest of honour was Colonel Norsuriati binti Haji Sharbini, Head of Judge Advocate General (JAG), Ministry of Defence. Also present were female officers and enlisted personnel of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
The event commenced with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by recitation of Surah Al-Mulk by 1628 Lieutenant Siti Nur Syahidah binti Haji Suhaili.
The ceremony was highlighted with the religious talk titled ‘Hijrah dan Istiqamah’ by 1002 Major Fahzilleana Emey binti Haji Ahmad Alisa Eswan, Religious Officer from the RBAF Religious Department. The religious talk highlighted that Hijrah is not merely a historical event of migration, but a profound symbol of spiritual transformation; a journey from weakness to strength, and from heedlessness to awareness. The ceremony concluded with Fardhu Isya’ prayer, the recitation of doa and a group photo session.
The ceremony served to reinforce bonds of unity and nurture spiritual values among RBAF women personnel, while commemorating their long-standing contributions and unwavering service to religion, monarch, and nation.
